About Me

Both me and my wife are doctors working in Yorkshire. I am passionate about music, both classical and semi classical. I love hindi film music from the 50s, 60s and 70s. Shankar Jaikishan are my favourite music directors, and I also enjoy songs by RD Burman, OP Nayyar, Madan Mohan and Salil Choudhury. Above is a photo of my family with Shankar Mahadevan, taken when he recently performed at the Royal Albert Hall. Looking forward to attending the Mehfil get togethers in future.

My daughter can sing a few bollywood songs and I can also sing a few. I have performed locally by singing to karaoke music.

About Me

Have been here in the UK since Jan 05.  Work with HSBC group in Canary Wharf and live with my wife Vaishali and two kids Tejas and Arunima in Orpington.  Enjoy hindustani classical vocals a lot and have been listening for many years now.  Favourites - Kumar Gandharva, Mansur, Vasantrao Deshpande.  Of today's lot I particularly enjoy Mukul Shivputra, Ulhas Kashalkar, and recently been picking up a bit of Jayateerth Mevundi
